Since 1998, Mondo Civils has accumulated a vast share of completed projects dating back to a time before digital cameras and on-line marketing. Over the past years, we have proven our work will stand the test of time. The following are just a few of our recorded projects which are highlighted by their unique character in some way or other.

THABA'NCHU RD, GLENVISTA
Client: Colin Caluza
In the steep slopes of Glenvista, space is very limited and the Caluza family had a problem getting cars up their steep driveway. Our task was to create more room by installing a block retaining wall, reducing the ground to make the driveway easily accessible, and breaking out any intrusive rock. Our wall was 4m high and we had to use heavy equipment on top. It was a true test of our faith in our work!

ABinBEV SANDTON RETAINING WALL
Client: Teichman Structures
Various walls up to 6m high at ABinBEV's Sandton Headquarters. Walls were built at close to vertical and needed to take heavy traffic. This was well tested by the earthmoving equipment used to build the paved road above. The Terraforce block was used because of its ability to deal with high vertical curves.

CORNWALL HILL SCHOOL - ASTROTURF
Client: CORNWALL HILL SCHOOL
Our Scope of work here was our full stack offering: Excvate embankment to make way for their new ASTROTURF, followed by earthwork prep and compaction, installation of block retaining wall and block stadium seating, and finally repairs to paving and stormwater. Cornwall Hill have since used our services of 5 other projects as they further develop the school

MALIBONGWE RETAINING WALLS
Client: Roadcrete, Basil Reed Roads
A total of 5000m2 of retaining walls were designed and installed for Roadcrete on their refurbishment of Malebongwe Road. Walls were a high as 7m and using mechanised equipment to do the heavy lifting, we were able to install up to 100m2 per day.

LOVEMORE BROS. POMONA
At this project we offered a full-stack solution to Lovemore Bros. to provide an additional parking area for their tenant. The work included cutting back the embankment, installing a block retaining wall, installing heavy-duty paving and kerbs, and redirecting the stormwater.

REDHILL SCHOOL - EMBANKMENT REPAIR
Client: RED HILL SCHOOL
Save the trees! Redhill had an existing treed embankment to their sportsfield which was eroding and collapsing. We needed a solution where we could restore the stability to the slope, stop the erosion, and protect the trees - all in very limited space. We achieved this with a curved wall creating terraces around the trees so they would have space to grow and actually assist with preventing erosion.
